Ryse Energy Air 40 Wind Turbine Series Manual
The body of the Windpower Air 40 is constructed of permanent mold cast aluminum and the three blades are made of carbon molded composite.
The generator can be used for multiple types of off-grid power applications including telecom, security systems, cabins, tiny homes, and trailers. It can also be used in conjunction with a solar system to supplement battery charging.
Requiring only a 7mph wind for startup, the AIR 40 will produce 40 kWh per month with an average wind speed of 13 miles per hour.
It comes with a built-in microprocessor controlled charge controller and the option of using an external load diversion controller.
The wind generator cannot be connected directly to a power inverter. It must be used to charge a 12-volt battery bank.
Your inverter will get its power from the batteries.
Comes with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.

Questions & Answers
Have a Question?
-
What type of surge protector (lightening protection) do you recommend?
It is always a good idea to use lightning protection. The DELTA LIGHTNING ARRESTOR (model LA 302-DC – 3 WIRE – 500 V) is widely used. In addition, it is also recommended to use the MidNight Solar – MDSPD – 300 - DC. Grounding your system is also very important in protecting against lightning. We do not carry these products but they can be easily sourced on the internet.

How many batteries will I need and what type
Deep cycle batteries are required (types include: flooded lead acid, absorbed glass mat (AGM), gel cell and NiCad.) for use with the Primus Windpower Air 40 Wind Turbine. IMPORTANT: Never use “automotive” batteries or any battery other than a “deep-cycle” battery. The number of batteries that you will need will vary depending on your usage. To calculate the number of batteries you will need, see page 11 of the downloadable manual on the product page. This formula will help you get the right number of batteries.
